You said that It is much easyer to program unified memory. So to program for the other guy mean more programming to achieve same result this time around ?

Here's some slide from Guerrila for Shadowfall on video memory used.http://www.giantbomb.com/playstation-4/3045-146/forums/killzone-shadow-fall-ps-meeting-demo-used-3gb-of-r-1436155/

Is it possible to achieve that on slower memory ?

Dude what the hell are you telling these people? Jeez.

Gah if there is one thing I hate about publishers and other devs these day its the whole why bother attitude.
Its like the industry up and went and forgot what they are about. Managing your consumer base and providing them with compelling entertainment that resonates with that audience. That's how you get the sales, that's how you get the money. You BOTHER with putting EFFORT in to build up a RAPPORT with your AUDIENCE.

But no its all about the money and whether you have enough of it. Reeks of fear.

Instead of pissing in your pants every time a game underpreforms, perhaps understand as to why it is so, dont run off and do the same shit over and over again with another series/franchise. Options people.

They've lost their focus. Concentrate on what will make you succesful, instead of running from failure, while fighting to tread water in a rip current. Y'all have to take responsibility for what you do, what you make and manage your assets with that in mind. Bleeding cash left and right the lot of you.

You have genuine issues, I am a programmer, working on games, coding engines is my job, it isnt my job to decide what the company or other employees create with the engine, I am just answering peoples questions from the perspective of someone within the industry, and doing so honestly, my apologies if reality doesnt gel with your idealistic concepts but I dont like the idea of sugar coating the truth to make people feel better about themselves.

Most of the publishers are on the stock market.

Money talk! Not just in the video games market...

3 questions:
1) Did Nintendo ask for input while designing Wii U? Since it's underpowered compared to PS/One and no one wants to use the GamePad I get the feeling they kinda... did their own thing.
2) Where do you see the market going during this gen and the next? Will we get fewer and fewer mid-tier games and more and more AAA-titles, or will those also dry up?
3) This kinda ties in with the last question; do you think this is the last HW gen? Or will Sony/MS7Nintendo keep making consoles for ever?

THANKS!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Yeah they did ask for input, with the few they talked to. But they make hardware based on where they want to take themselves

1) Nintendo have never asked about input for future hardware in any product and probably never will.

23) Markets going to stay the same, just more focus on digital, there will be new hardware, but probably less focused on optical media, maybe not even have optical media anymore, remember some people thought the 360/ps3 would be the last generation too.

Being a keyboard warrior on a forum isnt going to change anything, just so you know.

Of course not^
