for the same reason a ps3 game can't run on a ps4 without some rewrittng,..  a ps3 game can't run on a cloud server (aka PC) without rework as well.  this is why sony said gaikai will support "a selection of favorites with more support over time".

i'm hoping that gaikai honors digitally purchased titles but to be frank,.. most of my digitally purchased titles won't even be on the service for a very long time if ever.

That is one reason another is copy rights, etc, can be a tangled mess. You can just unilatterly decide to put a game on the service even if you foot the bill for the rewrite. You need premission from the owner of the IP and that can get messy, that is why Nintendo can not just realease its entire software liberary, sometimes the owner is different in the different markets and they usually want to get paid for use of the IP. And sometimes the owner of the IP isn't clear. And overtime developers go under and the IPs are used to pay off debts and then scuttled so the owner cannot be found. (But you can be sure if a hardware owner decides to release it the owner will pop out of the wood work asking for more money then it is worth.)

yes, another very good point.   i believe golden eye is in that "not going to happen" limbo for nintendo.

I wouldn't say never. Microsoft seems to not be like Sega and Sony in that they don't see the 3DS as in there market so they may allow a release for the 3DS.

never gonna happen.

On PS4:They will at some point in 2014 through Gaikai.

On Xbone: They probably will at some point through their cloud service, but I don't think MS has said when. You can also connect your 360 to the Xbone.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

No it's technically not possible right now. Maybe things will change, but currently zero ps3 games can run on ps4. Gaikai is essentually taking your ps3 out from under the tv and putting it far away online. That's not the same astraditional bc.
