Eshop crashed when NSMB2 released and it didn't do hotcakes digitally.

One would assume the Eshop severs improved since then. Although knowing Nintendo one can't be sure. but in any case, if the eshop didn't crash during the MH 4 launch in Japan, I think is easy to assume the service is a lot better.
