Between the amount of games that are coming out on the wiiU and 3ds... My wallet is crying right now

Sigh... added to my buy list T_T (WiiU version that is)

Gotta do what I do.  Buy games in full way early.

I bought Wind Waker like 3 months ago in full

Bought AC4 in full like 2 months ago

Bought Sonic a month ago in full

Got like $40 of eshop like 5 months ago

And so on.  Then it's only a little bit each month.  Hardly notice it.

If I waited till they all released then its like Holy shit $200 in a couple weeks.

the 3ds version looks fine, were some people expecting it to look as good as the console version? cause if so thats a bit crazy

I'd say it looks admirably close considering the power disparity between the two platforms. It's easily one of the most impressive 3DS games I've seen.

60fps is much more important than 1080p. 720p to 1080p isn't a big difference unless you sit too close or have a ginormous screen. 30fps to 60fps on a fast paced game, however, is much more noticeable.
Sonic Team made the right choice here.

Is the difference between 1080p and 720p not that noticeable on a TV? Because on a PC playing a game in 720p is like having my eyes slowly cut out ¬_¬ (that's a serious question by the way, all the games I've played on a console have been 720p so i have no way to compare).

Distance and size are things to consider.

You can't tell 1080p from 480p on screen 2", but you sure as hell can on a screen 60"

You can't tell the difference between 480p and 1080p if your standing 100' away, but you sure could standing 10' away.

A computer you are like 1-2' away from the screen, thus you can notice it much more.

Yeah fair enough. I suppose PC screens also use much more defined pixels compared to a TV, which needs to stretch the image out anyway.

As irstupid pointed out, PC gamers tend to sit much closer to their screen than do console gamers. ;)

Its 720p eh? Guess its due to all the high res textures they're using. (they're rather simplistic though lol.Blends together well.

That has to be more about optimization and the money needed to reach 1080p. Not worthed, in my opinion. Look at Super Mario 3D World 1080p, don't know if 60 fps, but common its Mario always running at 60fps.

Enjoy these threads while you can guys, next week Red Dead Redemption will be back, spamming them with his obsessive hate.

Yeah, it's just much easier to make games run at 720p; 1080p means extra optimization and work for a benefit few will really appreciate.

hmm... day 1...

Having watched the videos, Wii U version looks great. 3DS version looks as awful as dimps other Sonic efforts :(
