Had the game for an hour and got a Pikachu with light ball first try. Caught many more so that I can get the nice experience for catching (bout 64 exp per catch) and none of them have a light ball. Anybody know if light ball is as rare as it was in Emerald? If so, fuck yes! Got one first try. :)

it might be the same as last generation. (5% chance)

Pokemon get experience even if you catch the wild Pokemon now. That's a cool addition.

Just curious is anyone using the Exp share? I find it too easy so I turned mine off... I will probably turn it back on when im really far in the game and I start breeding multiple poke. Maybe im weird but I love leveling up each of my poke even if i  have to battle a bunch of times in an area for awhile.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new EXP share either. I feel like it's cheap. I might still use it later though. :p

If that's true, I'm quite happy. Got one first time catching a Pikachu. :)

Ok I've played this game for 12 hours and am still haven't beaten the second gym leader.

(Blame all the soft resets and Ralts farming)

Time for some sleep......I'll get my Jolly Tyrunt later
