Once you start the game and save for the first time, reset it so that it goes into the start menu. In there select the Mystery Gift option and then Recieve via Wi-Fi option. That'll give you the event Torchic.

Whch one of my pokes do you want to get? Also, what's your 3DS Friend Code, so I can add you later today?

So yesterday I beat the game. :3

Blastoise with Surf and Ice Beam destroys 5/6 of the Champion's Pokemon.

And I've also been working on the post-game content. Other than finding the rest of the Megastones around Kalos, I believe I'm finished. Haven't used the Master Ball yet either, so it's nice to keep that around.

Right now I'm working on catching dittos so I can have an easier time with breeding (I caught 12 yesterday but the cartridge came out of the console

I swear it wasn't this difficult before... any tips or tricks to catching them (using false swipe with Ultra Balls, but even then it's proving to be comically difficult process).

Maybe is a little early for you but visit the friends safari thread, the friends safari is the safari zone of the game but you can only use it if you have 3ds friends and there are only 2 per person or 3 if they have beaten the game, each person have a different type based on their friend code so you can only catch a certain type per friend

So I've put in a good 40 hours already, yet I only have 2 Gym badges. Not sure if that's because X/Y is just that awesome, or it means I'm just slow n bad. xD

The first two badges in this game are surrounded by loads of content and discovery. Really spread far apart (for a while I was worried that I missed the second badge ). But the next 6 are a bit more fast paced after that.
