Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo opens online shop in the UK: offers free delivery, limited edition exclusives and extended warranties - Finally taking the U.K Seriously!

Beautiful post to commemorate your 40k posts. Finally Nintendo boots the middle-man out. They should also have physical Nintendo stores to show off their stuff, maybe display some historia or memorabilia. I'm sure people would visit.

Yup,it's surprised me that they haven't done this before. Have a Nintendo Store in every major city in the UK. They have a Nintendo World Store somewhere in the States, don't they..?

I've also always wondered why they haven't invested some money into a Nintendo theme park (Nintendo Land..?). Most of the Nintendo IPs are every bit as recognised as any of the characters that Disney have.

Have demo stands for the 3DS and Wii U, food stands with Nintendo themed food, retro arcade games, a couple of themed rollercoasters, kids rides with Nintendo characters, a Wave Race water ride, a haunted Luigi's Mansion...the list could go on and on.

The words 'licence to print money' spring to mind.

Excellent, excellent. Iwata is the man, if no retail wants to sell Nintendo stuff, then we are doing it ourselves.
Top notch market innovation, not only on the gaming side, but the business side.
Iwata and Nintendo are growing, and I will be there sitting in my couch watching everything.

Cool. Now stock up on hard-to-get games like Xenoblade and Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Is there an American Nintendo Online Store?

Not quite, someone bought the franchise name. Nintendo is not the owner.

Not quite, it only sell accessories of accessories. Like Wiimote battery covers, power adapters, things like that. The only game I remembered they sold was Xenoblade Chronicles.

Bought what franchise?

the Nintendo franchise name. Like McDonalds on other countries, things like that. I am not proeficient on the business side, but Nintendo World Store is not a Nintendo onwed store.
