Well there goes a big X1 selling point. Could COD be more popular on PS4 than X1 (purely because of install base)?

So does that mean 360 and PS3 also? If so then that's even less reason for me to get next gen consoles anytime soon.

It is 100% confirmed... just he can't say that because some weird deal with MS. |
Or maybe because of some weird deal with Sony. Or with Nintendo.
Or even more likely, you know, they just can't name any platform specific because the media will twist his words and he'll be in trouble. Why specify when "all platforms" is as clear as it gets?
Not everything in the world is the way it is because of big bad Microsoft. I know, sounds crazy right?

Just like Dragon Quest X and Monster Hunter Tri. Whoop whoop!
Killzone too will also have some dedicated servers.
Some dedicated servers being available for some processes (matchmakin, leaderboards, etc.) is pretty standard.

It could be a media deal with Microsoft but that seems pretty out there. More likely is that Microsoft gave Activision permission to talk online features, while Sony hasn't yet. It wouldn't surprise me if Activision works more closely with Microsoft than with Sony, so the servers are done earlier than Sony's.
Paying a company like Activision not to mention other console platforms during development seems far fetched. But it could be true. Perhaps Microsoft has an exclusivity deal where CoD gets marketed to appear to only be available on Xbox consoles. Like Sony did with FIFA for years.
