And I don't get the idea that I must have it now, so take my hard earn money even though its a brand new product with possible bugs that need to be worked out. I buy a lot of Sony products, and I know from experience, their software on most of their hardware need more work after launch date. It wouldn't surprise me if the OS needs a lot of patching in the first 5 months. The games will be fine, but one still has to wait a while for the developers to master the code.
There is too much hype going around, and I'm growing too old now to pay attention to it. The wait and see approach seems to work a whole lot better for me these past few years.
The only downside I see to not playing launch titles first is not being able to mastering before anyone else, but who here is really a gamer pro? It's not like any of you make money out of playing games competitively. I'm sure by next year, the launch titles will be yesterdays news and new exciting games with new hype will have taken their place. The price of launch tittles will have fallen 40%-60% and one can easily pick up 3-4 launch titles and not break the bank.
Now if you have money to spare, this doesn't apply to you, But why throw it away when patience can give you a better yield.
