This is launch people, there have been very few cases when a launch game has really been outstanding.


Games don't need to be outstanding to warrant a purchase, they will come. Just needs a fair few decent games.

I'm sure Killzone isn't as bad as reviews suggest, but coupled with 3rd party there isn't a lot there.

Not really, if you look at music or movies reviews if they get 61-80, it's considered as "Generally Favorable Reviews". We've been so conditionned by inflated score that we see scores in the 60s as terrible when in reality they are average .

Well if you're basing not buying an Xbox1 or PS4 for the entire gen based on launch line ups, that's rather silly :P

I know but what I mean is that people have been ridiculously overestimating what those games are actually going to be, as indicated by the average metacritic predictions in this thread. which I find very funny. 

Also I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say with that second sentence.

Well if you're basing not buying an Xbox1 or PS4 for the entire gen based on launch line ups, that's rather silly :P

It was a decision that ended up being based on more cost than anything else, but all the same, it's nice to know that I'm not missing out on much by skipping exclusives for certain consoles.
