Forums - Nintendo - Capcom, Why You Underestimate MH4? 2.8mil in 7Months Forecast? It Did It In Less Than 4 Weeks!

Yes You heard Right, while official numbers haven't come out MH4 currently has 2.4mil retail units sold in 3 weeks (16 days of sales) meaning only 400k is needed for their 2.8mil statement. We did however get MH4 Digital sales FW which were 255k which puts the total sales at 2.65mil!

This means less than 150k is needed to reach 2.8mil. Srry to break it to the haters but we dont even have 2 weeks of digital sales presented or 4th week numbers in. It could even be passed 2.8mil 3rd week, but lets just go with 4th Week!

I knew it'll hit 2.8mil but nowhere near this fast. Whats your thoughts on all this? Also Congratulations Capcom, you sleazy B****es!

Around the Network

Because Capcom wants to present to investors that their business is doing well by under promising and over delivering on one of the most highly anticipated titles.

This will do little to quell bombs such as lost planet 3 which im sure cost more than what monster hunter will bring in.

Its selling very well, but yeah they f*** up too many games. Anyway totally agree, Stupid a** investors are like "Capcom did 2.8mil in  just 4 weeks *.*"! Capcom trying to be slick, but still i thought 2.8mil would come Dec, not just 4 weeks of launch

Maybe they weren't sure of how it will perform?
I think we all expected to do well, but not that well. I mean, It has basically outsold MH3G in just a couple of weeks.
