So I have played about 6 hours of Pokemon X... Simply WOW. Current team is Frogadier, Pikachu, Espurr and Charmeleon.

It's not gonna be an easy task, there's at least over a dozen different ones, and you can't just change your 3DS region to change the Vivillon you're going to get. The pokedex entry should be the same for each variation thought right? So as long as I catch as least ONE, then all I have to do is "see" the rest and not actually own them to fill the pokedex perfectly right?

That would be correct, since they most likely register as different formes. Though, you'll still need to use the P.S.S a lot to find them all.

I'm sure Vivillon will be an overpowered uber pokemon that everyone and their grandma will use and be essential to every team.  So I'm not too worried about not seeing him ever.
