I managed to create my character today and then play a race and stick up a store, but after that it said other players kicked me, but I don't know why?

Finally after about 24 hours of nothing working (ps3)
we got in and played for a few hours, and had fun shenanigans, but after a little while all the jobs kept failing, so we called it a night.

I'm a little disappointed with the content so far...
where are all the co-op missions with your crew at?
every mission seems to be competitive?

Apparently you need to buy an apartment with a planning room before you can do heists.
