What a joke, off-tv Wii support doesn't use the gamepad as a controller. I really hope it's a work in progress, otherwise Nintendo just piss me off.

The only alternative I could think of would be hard-coding the second analogue stick to act like the pointer, and even then, how would you do other Wiimote-essential things? To do otherwise would breed too many problems, though i'll admit this solution certainly leaves a lot to be desired.


or.... make you use the touch screen and touch where you want to point? :P

And I thought it was the greatest thing, ever!  I'm perfectly fine with putting my Wii U controller in the charging cradle and playing with the controller ya bunch of whiny babies!

Played mario galaxy and metroid prime 3 on the wii u gamepad.. Prime sucked on it cause the intense motion controls but galaxy was fun.. The update was worth it.. Playing all my nintendo games bed side and even though I played windwaker 10 years ago I enjoy replaying it
