Didn't they use a bunch of PS3s hooked up together for medical research and the military using xbox controllers for drones?  Video games have become weaponized!

Yes, the US army hooked Xbox360 gamepads to various drones. Apparently it significantly reduced the time it took them to teach new recruits the basic controls of the drones (afaik you still need the big controller for certain advanced functions). That's pretty awesome (and actually a bit scary D:)

Come now, you should be more honest.  A large part of the flak Nintendo takes has more to do with some of its fans than with the company, so I've added that in for you.  I mean, really, imagine if Nintendo didn't have to deal with the Tin-foil Hat crew, the Platform Elitists, and the Hyper-Defensive front?  I imagine it would be a lot more appealing for some.

Of course, the same thing could be said about any of the console manufacturers, like it or not.  The first real taste of fanboys I had was with the original Xbox "h4l0 h4z l33t gr4phx" crowd, followed by the "PS3 is worth $600" team.

What do you expect from him ? He gives flak to anyone that dislikes nintendo. The only ones that don't suffer severely are PC gamers cause they look at it from an objective standpoint while also being agnostic.

I can just as easily say that you give flak to anyone that LIKES nintendo.

Except for one thing, I could give a rats arse about which console anyone likes. BTW xbone > wii u

I harbor no hate for any of the companies or their fans. PS fans have been adorable pre-launch. It really makes me wish I was on websites like this before this gen launched.

Only company I hate with a passion is EA and that is for destroying the Dreamcast.

Because I have low self esteem. Tying my self worth to the success of something else, such as a game company, or a football team, or an actor, or a political party, or a religion, allows me to enjoy their success vicariously.  I therefore must defend my game company/football team/actor/party/religion from all those who would threaten it.
