Forums - General - Xbox One Stage Show called transgender journalist "it"(Hired comedian, Not a MS employee)

Sorry but the title is pathetic, people trying to associate this with MS/Xbox as much as they can for whatever reasons.

He was a hired 'comedian' nothing more.

If I didn't recognize the gender of someone then I too would refer to them as an ambiguous term like "this person"

EDIT:  so now I'm looking at a picture of the person in question and I think "this person" was the best way to describe them

If I want to be a Unicorn and I put a horn on my head. Does that mean everyone has to respect my choice and instantly know what it is I want to be?

I highly doubt this person's credibility now. I'm not trying to be quick to judge, but I just checked out their twitter and she apparently posted her actual phone number on her public Twitter and is surprised by the prank calls... I seriously hope no one is that stupid for real. I have to wonder if she's just asking for attention and that the presenter really did do nothing wrong.

I'm sorry the guy is offended but there are consequences to the choices we make. In the meantime this makes me more likely to buy an Xbone.

That's hardly a fair comparison, what a stupid thing to say.

Sorry if you cannot understand it. Just because you want to be something, doesnt mean everyone will just know you want to be that. Especially when it comes to gender and how some people, not trying to, will look or sound like the opposite gender. I made it so extreme in an attempt to make it clear but I see it was over your head.

No need to throw insults around. I would report you for saying that since I got banned for it but I am sure nothing would happen to you.

If you cant talk like an adult to me, then dont respond to me. What I said was extreme but not that hard to understand imo.

If I put on a wig because I want to be a woman, thats not going to give everyone around psychic abilities to read my mind and know what I am trying for. Just because someone wants to be something, doesnt mean everyone will know they want to be that.

LOL! I was about to come in here and say, "I read some twitter posts and it seems this person is a fucking moron"

I see alot of variety of in opinion and im glad to see that. I am curious to find out more information. She clearly is not identifiable as a female but to insult anyone on stage in front of an audience is a different matter. they both have very different stories of how it happened. with transgender individuals becoming more common and accepted do we need a more PC term for if your unsure of which to use?
