Highlights include:

- linux based OS (actually based on Ubuntu LTS 12.04 core http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTM0MDc)

- Family sharing (already announced)

- Streaming from your Windows and Mac machines for older non native games (yes this means your windosws games still work though I hope they announce a cloud streaming service later on)

- Movie music and other streaming services (details com later)

The OS is free to download and always will be meaning build your own or buy from multiple vendors.

A lineup announcement of 2014 AAA titles is forthcoming, as of today 200 games are native to the OS (linux).

Next announcement in 2 days... I am betting Hardware.

Every game you have on your Windows Box through streaming... I was hoping for a cloud streaming service for old windows games as well.

So basically, you can play some games natively, but you can also stream from your actual PC?

I would be quite interested to try this on my laptop, but I can't say I am too convinced how well it will work.

We we'll see the prices that the Steam boxes with this baked in come in at to see whether this will actually matter

This is only the OS, mind you. Hardware announcement probably comes later this week

nvm me was thinking of project Piston and its absurd price
