Forums - Microsoft - First Forza Motorsport 5 Japanese Preview from Tokyo Game Show Laments Severe Visual Degradation from E3 Build

I stopped commenting on YT years ago that shit goes way out of hand way to fast....

and to everybody else no matter how you look at it, good graphics or not Forza will be the best GT car simulation on console by far until something like GT on PS4 comes out nothing will remotly compete with it for any true race sim gamers on console.... so yeah might have some visual issues or not still will be a killer racing game with no competition what so ever comes november

Driveclub isn't a sim, motorstorm will probably take a long time because of it and I can't remember any decent sim on sony console besides GT... don't know the exact library on MS systems, but I have to agree with you that independent of preferences and tastes nobody can deny that in console wars the only ones that are able to go head to head on sims are Forza and GT, and fans will flock one side or the other (I love the second).

Why is a offscreen 720p compressed YouTube video being used to judge graphics? I can find terrible videos for every next gen game on YouTube.

Yeah sure of course there's always an excuse. I smiled looking at your butthurt comments on YouTube. "GayZone" really? That's the level of sophistication you can come up with in your insults?

God bless.

Holly molly I thought you were joking.

damn...talk about showing your true colors

Try looking at the posts I quoted. My responses were in exact form as the original posts. I was mocking the posts to get a rise out of the fanboys. Convenient way to disguise what I responding to.

^ In that case you've just ended up mocking at yourself in a fail attempt at satire. Oh yeah let's stoop to the same level that will send my message across.

Nice logic there.

If I attempted to respond at my normal level of intelligence they wouldn't have gotten the message.

I don't think you understand what defensive means. What am I defending here, the honor of Digital Foundry or something? You harp on this article a lot so I just wanted to know what you're reading.

From that very article you linked:

Crytek told them it was 1080p, they didn't confirm anything
They said it was almost surely running 1080p, again, no confirmation of anything

And these games were running on Xbones at E3. Everyone except Jonathan Blow knows this.

Again there are no confirmation about Xbone games running in real Xbone at E3... the only article is that that I linked you, the same that says that KI and Ryse are 1080p.

And Crytek said the game was running at 1080p maybe because the game was running at 1080p at E3 in target devkits... same for Killer Instinct... after they ported to real Xbone devkits they have to sacrifice something.

There are pictures of people playing KI and other games at E3 on Xbone hardware. Jonathan Blow, is that you?

Nice to see you finally admitting Crytek said the game was running at 1080p. So now you'll stop crediting Digital Foundry for that I guess. You'll just have to work on KI now.

In my book, misguided patriotism and xenophobia aren't very indicative of an intelligent person either. But hey, let's not go there, shall we?

I believe your intelligence was clearly on display.

Wharever you believes bro

Yeah, I got to play Forza 5 at TGS because I wanted to try the new controller and the waiting time was only around 30 minutes.

I really liked the controller. It was thinner than I have expected and felt nice in my hands. I totally forgot that the shoulder buttons rumble and was caught off guard :)

That said, the visuals of Forza 5 were indeed disappointing. The demo featured a selection of 5 cars. I chose the orange McLaren P1. The aliasing was so bad, it was kind of distracting and the textures during the car introduction segment leave something to be desired. The demo was fun, but I cannot say the experience felt 'next gen'. Photography was prohibited so couldn't take pictures or videos. The Xboxes were visible and sitting under clear enclosures.

Several people were playing Titan Fall in the next stand. That looked more graphically appealing but the Xboxes were hidden inside cabinets (quite possibly the only game to have the xboxes hidden).

I really wanted to try some PS4 games like Drive Club for comparison but the waiting lines were so long (and some were even closed 3 hours before the day ended!)
