Between 43-44mil. I don't know how much will help 2DS.

Well considering that it's at 33 mil I don't see why pokemon could push more hardware seeing as how there is alot of pokemon fans already owning a 3DS.


Oh well, your gonna take that back probably before the year even ends. If you dont think pokemon will push or 2DS will help as much then its on you. Also there are a bunch of people who are buying a handheld (2ds/3ds) for pokemon. There are some even on this site.

of course but if we think like that then there wouldn't be system sellers. If 9mil copies of pokemon were bought this year out of all of those sales i say 1.5mil-3mil alone just bought a 3ds/2ds within oct-dec.

Roughly the same sales as last year would put it around 42 million I believe, and with the veritable onslaught of great games the 3DS has been having and is set to have by the end of the year I suspect it will at least do a million or two more than last year but at least equal to last year.

So I would hazard a guess at about 43 million, although 2DS is a wildcard that might see it go higher than that.

December 29th 2012 was at 27,656,963, January 5th 2013 was at 28,116,113

Yep all 15m or so Pokemon fans already own a 3DS just like all Halo fans already owned a 360 before it had a Halo game and all God of War fans had a PS3 before it had a God of War game.
