I´m okay with Donkey Kong TF, the first is hands down the best 2D Platformer of the last generation and there is no arguing with it´s sales, it was a smash hit and if they really didn´t want to tackle Metroid right away/ were burnt out by Metroid...fine.

I´m just happy that Team Ninja will never touch Metroid again... MOM  is a trainwreck in the game department (level design, art direction, gameplay etc.) and I didn´t even care for the Story.
...to their credit: Other M wasn´t cheap, the production values are really high and the CG-cutscenes were well done (from a technical perspective)
...but the game is a giant stinker compared to the Prime trilogy !
Wooo... Metroid Prime 4...I´ll take 10 !

I thought the same when I read this. maybe it's the third sonic title? wouldn't be hard to put sonic in there. his speed already matches the game.

Um, I meant, Miyamoto said Metroid is important to them because they included it in Nintendo Land. F-Zero is also in Nintendo Land. So F-Zero must also be important to Nintendo. Hence my comment about a new installment.

Also, a bit of sarcasm, as Miyamoto himself said a new F-Zero from them wouldn't be likely. (And if inclusion in Nintendo Land signifies importance, then I guess we can be looking forward to a new Balloon Fight game, as well as a new Game&Watch, and a new 'Mystery of Murasame Castle' game, too. :p)
