Im sorry, why are people saying she is a cunt? You guys come in at the middle of the situation when the situation has already escalated. Multiple people in the crowd talk shit to him on his way out. Sounds like he is a problematic customer. She deserves to get fired over an ass hole customer?

She was fired because she threatened to take His personal information, that he provided as part of the transaction, and give it to a crowd of angry people.  The guy might be a complete fucktard, but you can not do that.  That is borderline criminal, and if she had done it and one of those in line had harassed him or assaulted him, he could sue GS.  Even if he didnt win, im sure GS doesnt want that kind of plublicity.

Did she really need to check his ID? I get that it's store policy, but a little common sense goes a long way.

As a District manager, that is very bad.  she represents the company, and not just a front end kid who you could expect that from. She is a higher up, and you are not supposed to do anything like that.  You smile and apolagize, and let them leave.   Im sure alot of us have worked in retail and know how bad it can get, but someone at that level should never respond to a customer that way.  Joking or not.  She then refused to provide her full name when she requested it. That again looks very bad for a district manager.   plus if she was fired this quickly, there must be more to her personal story as they would normally launch an investigation. 

and the guy says public information because hes clearly frazzeled and pissed off.  its his information that he provided to them, they CANNOT give it to anyone else,  not withstanding an angry mob.  I realize it was a joke, but you still dont say shit like that.  The guy is a complete idiot, who doesnt carry ID with them, especially to pick up something like that at midnight. he should be mad at himself, but that doesnt excuse what she did

From past retail experience I've had if you can tell the guy is over 17 or 18 then you don't need to ask for an ID. So the manager was just trying to be a bitch just like most Gamestop mangers do.

he had pre-paid.  he needed picture ID, all he provided was a business card.  its policy.
