If it's through March I think they can pull it off. It'll be close though--the PS4 and Xone are going to cannibalize each other to some degree, and I'm sure plenty of people will just sit on their current-gen consoles. Plus there are always supply issues to consider.

vgc says that ps3 sold ~2.85 million until end of march 2007 with an european launch one week before the end of march. ps4 will launch only in february in japan but much earlier in many other territories or territories the ps3 didn't even release before april 2007 (brazil, mexico...) and that with a much cheaper price and many more games.

if they can produce so much it should be "easy" and maybe they hope for even more. i think ps3 could have sold 4m with the same launch dates and enough units.
