Or maybe it's just the fact that Nintendo never owned those franchises, Rare did.

Nintendo would have had to have owned the franchises in order to sell them, it didn't.  It had a minority stake in Rare, not a majority.  And when offered the chance to own Rare outright, Nintendo declined.

kinda my feelings too.  either the game is a total disappointment because it nerfs the games difficulty or it's a total diappointment because the game is too frustratingly fucking hard.  it's really a no win situation for this franchise.


I think yo can handle the difficulty thing with just a difficulty setting that ramps up quickly.  Plus Demon Souls and Dark Souls have proven that difficult games can sell well if done well.

its not big news its coming to a certain console it is big news if there will actually be a new game!
