Epic said in 2011 they were working on a PC game, but MS wont let that happen. LOL

Microsoft have no control over Epic, so quit talking out your butthole.

Wooooh, welcome back to myself! After 5 days ban, ain't nothing changed around here. Can't discuss a Xbox news on MS threads.

Anyway, I was hoping for GoW to be announced for 2015 release. A good game should never be put on the sidelines.

Mark this down for Xbox One fall AAA releases. Fall 2014-Halo, Fall 2015-Black Tusk Shooter, Fall 2016-Gears of War.

Microsoft publishes the games, Epic doesn't pay for shit.  Epic will keep putting the men to task if it previous games sold well. Doesn't bode well for another game. All Microsoft has to do is keep pulling out the checkbook since they can't get the job done themselves. As long as they want Gears they'll have to tuck their tail between their legs and pay up. It always works, but just might have to pay more this time.

@S.T.A.G.E.
What's your problem? Microsoft can't get the job done themselves so they have to get out the checkbook and have Epic make the game? You know there is absolutely no difference between Sony paying Naughty Dog to make Uncharted and Microsoft paying Epic to make Gears of War. Only difference is Naughty Dog is a Sony owned Studio. There aren't some guys sitting in the offices of Sony and Microsoft pulling levers making these games. Games are created by development studios. If Microsoft bought Epic would that change the game? No it wouldn't so there is absolutely no difference to paying a third party to make an exclusive franchise or owning a studio that makes the franchise.

You just stated the difference. Naughty Dog is a company that grew to prominence on a Sony platform and became officially Sony last gen. What Naughty Dog has made since the mid 90's has always been a partial extension of what Sony has either asked for or been creatively involved in themselves. Cerny made the Playstation 4 and he's basically been all Sony since the 90's after he left Sega producing hits like Spyro, Jak and Daxter and Crash Bandicoot. As you can see Cerny's genius is an extension of Sony much like many great Sony employees have been for over a decade now. He was Naughty Dog but he's now working with Sony Japan on Knack. Microsoft pays Epic for their IP's thats just the way it works. There is a huge difference. They published Gears just like they published Mass Effect. They own nothing, just rights to exclusivity. Gears is as much First party to Microsoft as Solid Snake was to Playstation, which is not at all.

I wonder if it would ever go multi. It's been discussed before, but with a lot of the top dogs gone now, I don't know what to think.

MS paid for the publishing to keep the game exclusive. They did the same thing with Mass Effect 1. If Epic decided to make a whole new branch of Gears of War without Microsoft publishing it, it would most likely go multiplat. MS would try to step in and stop that as well because well...thats just how MS is.

I hope it comes to all platforms.
