Forums - General - HERE WE GO! Video games kill 12 in Washingto D.C.

HERE WE GO.  I've been watching this story about the D.C. shooter all day long.  Surprisingly, no thread about it made, already.  I'm watching Jane Valez Mitchell and the first thing she says is "He was involved in the fantasy world of violent video games".  Goddammit.  Are video games the cause of everything wrong in the world?!

On the screen now is his pic stamed with red flags.  The captions: "Owned 2 guns" "Played Video Games" "Anger Problems" "Alienated", and "Loner".

Some jerk: "He don't come out of his room much, like I said. He played a lot of them online games where there was shooting all the time.  We joked with him about that sometimes.  His computer screen was lifelike.  It was big.  It was like wow, you're shooting people a lot, you know...and we would joke about that."

Video games killed Jesus

On that note, my heart definitely goes out to the families and the victims. This is a tragic situation. It just shocked the heck out of me that video games were somehow mentioned....considering this guy was trained by the MILITARY.

i read that in mario's voice

Somebody else should make a legit thread. I was just on this site when the comment was made. I'm not credible enough for a thread that serious.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

The guy wanted attention and the next serial killer that is watching this now knows how to get it.
Expect another shooting soon.

"He played violent video games, he was a loner, he was angry about being owed money" We're going to tell you all about him after the break.

Last thing she said. Pisses me the fuck off. I need a drink.

*drinks whiskey from tin cup*

IF he was a loner then the Video Games weren't his downfall, they were probably a reason why he didn't go crazy sooner. Video Games can make you feel appreciated but if you go back to real life it's still the same old shit. Don't blame video games, Blame our first world society.

Such is the power of Grand Theft Auto V.  It's so violent that people are going crazy killing people in anticipation for its release date.
