He doesnt mention it as "SNES to N64 and PSX" - he mentioned the SNES to N64.

So I'm sure everyone is assuming most powerful system of one generation to the next generation's most powerful system.

SNES and N64 were both made by Nintendo. That comparison actually makes sense. NES --> SNES --> N64 --> GC --> Wii --> WiiU is the progression of Nintendo consoles. SNES and N64 share lineage in common. N64 is the direct successor to the SNES. PSP and GBA have nothing to do with one another. The PSP was not a "leap" over the GBA because in no way did it directly follow the GBA.

Again, if you want to compare PSP to GBA, DS must be a part of the discussion. As I said, you would not compare the Wii to the PS4 to define the leap between 7th and 8th gen. You wouldn't even compare the PS3 to the PS4 and stop there. If you are looking at each generation as a whole, you must compare the PS3 to the PS4 (top end / Sony) AND the Wii to the Wii U (bottom end / Nintendo). You might even include Microsoft consoles for thoroughness. This case is no different. If you want to compare 6th gen handhelds to 7th gen handhelds you must compare GBA to PSP AND GBA to DS.

If, on the other hand, you want to compare individual handhelds, then the GBA's successor is the DS. If you compare GBA to PSP you are comparing the least powerful handheld of 6th gen to the most powerful of 7th. This comparison makes no sense.
