Forums - Gaming - How Does Gran Turismo 6 Compare to Driveclub/Forza 5?

In terms of pure graphics / technical accomplishments:
Forza 5 > DriveClub > Gran Turismo 6

In terms of "looking interesting / lively":
Driveclub > Forza 5 > Gran Turismo 6

In terms of most accurate simulation (probably):
Gran Turismo 6 > Forza 5 >>> DriveClub

So yeah, there is no clear winner for me. It just boils down to what you prefer.

You know, I'm gonna be honest and say something that might get me banned from the racing sim club.

Prettier cars haven't made me enjoy racing games more.

Totally agree. That's why there's nothing more enjoyable that Project Gotham Racing!

That is entirely a preference matter... I have more than 600h on GT5 alone, so for me GT will always be the best racing game, even if in 100 years (and ethomaz forgive me as I would forgive you) Forza finally gets better than it.

Of course, but if I agree with him, it means that I share his preferences (though I don't know if he has played PGR) xD

never tried it, if i had a Xbox360 provably would, will lend my sister xbox

Well Forza 5 looks far better than the other two.

It's also going to look better in motion in 1080P at 60FPS.

gt6 looks the most realistic, forza 5 the prettiest

GT6
33 tracks (7 new) with 71 distinct layouts, more coming each month as DLC
Custom track layouts in 50x50 km areas
1200 cars (all from GT5 plus a bunch of new ones) more coming in DLC

Driveclub
At least 2 tracks, unknown
At least 10 cars, unknown

Forza 5
At least 5 new tracks, unknown
120 cars

The two games that come out first have released the least information.

120 cars is the amount of new cars in Forza 5 my guess is that it will have around 400 cars since the collectors edition comes with 1,250 tokens enought to buy every car in the game from the start (on average it will probably take 3 tokens to buy each car).

Forza 5 cars look amazing. Problem is everything else on the screen looks very Xbox 360

Driveclub on the other hand seems next gen when you look at the entire package.

This is just my opinion but Killzone SF, Infamous, and Driveclub look next gen. None of the Xbox One launch titles look next gen. And it doesn't look like Xbox One will receive a next gen title until Titan Fall

It hard to wow people with the tracks when the majority of them are real life tracks (over 90%).  Most real life tracks look pretty boring there are only a handful of real life tracks that are absoulutly visually stunning without doing furter research I would say two of them are the Monaco GP and the Canadian GP (Circuit Gilles Villeneuve).

At the begining of the race yes but not at the end since damage and dirt builds up on the exterior throughout the race.

Drive Club interests me, not because of how it stacks up visually with Forza, but because it's something a bit different. I really like the idea of being in "clans", so to speak.

thats different and new?

Yes? What other racing games do it?

Not taking a jab just wondering.

The car clubs in recent Forza games (most likely will be in Forza 5 also) are more or less the same thing as clans.

You can't really add Driveclub into the bolded because it's not really trying to be an accurate simulation. I think it will be more akin to PGR and Forza Horizon. But the other two I agree with.  Although I think F5 and DC are really close on the first one.

I remember playing the original on my Xbox, lol I was terrible at it, but it was so fun trying to get those kudos.
