Did it suppose to be funny ? I don't think it is

Not it wasn't actually. If you had been here for a few years earlier, you would have noticed the deeper metaphor behind the post. You can't understand it, so it's best not to think about it.

KI and that controller. Can't wait

well to me the IR blaster and HDMI passthrough with the CEC standard makes it worth way more than a 100 bucks premium. if they retain the windows media center extender they have on 360 and really improve the Kinect capabilities I would even be willing to spend 500 bucks with no upgrade in gaming capabilities compared to the 360 when I'll upgrade my AVS in the next 12 months.
now to that you add all the apps, the XBL unmatched quality of service and the cloud infrastructure in which MS is a leader and will become MS main business in the next decade and the overall MS ecosystem (win8,wp8,xb) that is way more appealing to me than the competition.
MS is getting exactly where I want them to be in a way that suites my hopes and needs better than the competition such as apple or google which are the true MS competition.
MS is clearly getting ready for the next step in computing technology I can't wait for them to take over my home central AI :D
can't wait to talk to cortana in my kitchen :D

One thing I'm really looking forward to is the Halo TV series since there's not nearly enough quality science fiction on TV. Considering it will have a good budget and some talent behind it I'm expecting a lot from it. A TV series of that caliber is also something the other two consoles lack and will likely never have.

Are you some type of mind reader?  You stole my thunder that's for sure.

I think that most people that are not interested in the XB1 can't really Kinect with all of its capabilities.  With M$ putting all of the M$ stores inside the Best Buys throughout the country(USA), this will create a great opportunity for the Non-believers to go in and experience what the XB1 has to offer.  It's mostly unfortunate that M$ isn't even getting much of a chance to explain the capabilities without being dogged about the specs or price.  The stupid part is that most of the core gamers will end up with both systems at some point.

I think that the Skype and snap screen fetures will really blow people away.  I think that it will be the next step from what most people experience with Live and chatting now.  Being able to see who you are talking to is the obvious true next gen capability.

With some of the patents that Microsoft has been awarded regarding Kinect 2, I'm really interested in seeing how and where Microsoft will take the technology. Both within the gaming sphere as well as outside it.

One of the more recent patents covers identifying the age of an individual based on a body scan, covering three points of your body. Your head dimensions, your arm length, and your overall height. The potential is that some day in the future a game could adjust content based on the calculated age, restrict a person from playing a game, or ensure that an individual is who they stay they are.

I wonder how many people will realize that's from Sonic?

The Xbox One is not a Windows Media Center Extender.  Marc Whitten mentioned that in one of his IGN Q&As.  There is no word whether the Xbox One will stream from the PC using the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service however.  So at this time that remains a possibility.

Also there is no word whether or not the Xbox One will support software like XBMC yet.

One thing that I would like to see implemented: screen mirroring with Win7, Win8, WP8 or even other devices...
