Id like to know what people outside of the UK think of this actually. However, I don't care and most people I have spoken to are the same. So yeah.

Idiots. Their priorities are not right. This is the smallest of our problems. I think I heard this law will only be for 'new contracts' as well, most people have the internet already. It won't stop protect children, parental controls are already there and help regulate what your child sees. It'll just make legitimate customers embarrassed when asked 'Do you want Adult Content enabled?' out loud in Virgin Media stores.

What is this "porn" you are talking about? can you eat it? does it harm public health? is it dangerous? does it kill people?

I personally dont care. But I wonder if Porn is blocked for people that go with their smartphone from another country to the UK and use it to access porn. Isnt it true that you have to request your provider to activate it first ? How will foreigners activate porn or is this porn restriction just for UK Citizen ?

As long as they advertise how you can "Opt In" well, and don't provide incentives against opting in, i see no issue. Too much porn at a young age is probably just as damaging as the whole "abstinence only" thing, just in the opposite direction.
