this is just getting beyond sad

No, it is just a thread about the Xbox One for Xbox enthousiasts. The only sad thing here is you posting that kind of pathetic comment in every single Xbox thread. If you do not like them, just ignore these threads, I see plenty of thread talking about the PS4 and its features, I do not think you find anything "sad" about them...

Thing is I believe this information has come up in other threads, so it is not new, and is considered suspect.  So, it would be sad to rehash suspect information over and over again, as if cheerleading.  It is also sad that someone who is a videogame player needs to have such information to boost their morale.

1/ which other thread ? If so just signal there is a duplicate.

2/ ... considered suspect ? so you are denying this officially announced chips are a fake or that the interpretation of their use is erroneous ?

3/ as long as the X1 has the best line-up how could morale be low ? if it ends up being the more powerful it´s just a bonus

1. The second GPU was discussed in multiple other threads, including this one:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=168016&page=1

I recall seeing "secret sauce" mentioned in what was another thread, regarding this.

2. The idea of the second chip is considered VERY suspect at this point.

3. Morale IS low, in regards to guys on here who care about sales and rooting for the XBOX ONE.  There has been a failure to come up with competent evidence that the more expensive ONE is superior to the PS4.  People can try to spin Kinect, but the core of people here don't care about it.  If the price points were reverse between the ONE and the PS4, it wouldn't be a big deal.  But it is the opposite of that, so it is an issue.  This isn't just about what one enjoys playing, but whichever one will sell the best.

1 - this is not about a POTENTIAL second gpu but EXISTING video encoding and video decoding processors

2 - see 1

3 - games look awesome - morale is high

1 - Yes sony doesn't have video encoding/decoding processors.

2 - Sony don't now what sound is, my PS3 games are all monochannel

3 - When morale is high you don't need daily motivational speech.

.. Or having to engage in disinformation and grasping of straws to speak to the power issue to justify what is a higher price point.  Those in the Microsoft camp now feel a need to grasp at anything out there that would show their system is superior, because Microsoft is charging a premium.  And I am NOT seeing posts on here on how awesome Kinect is for games.  Can someone here point out which Kinect 2.0 based game people are excited about and have as a must have?  I will look to start another thread on this.

For myself, Ryse piqued my interest when it was going to be a Kinect-centric game.  Now that it has gone into the answer to God of War by Microsoft, I am far less interested.

Never been interested in Kinect after seing it the first time and the limitations and after several reports of how dumb is to use it for play I lost all interest... but sure if MS is charging 100 more because of Kinect2 then they should show why its such a game changer and not that secret sauce will solve all their problems.

What it appears to me to be that Kinect is a late adoptor appealing feature that they have NOT managed to get core early adopters interest in at all.  It is a way to watch TV and so on.  Somehow, it is supposed to turn on causals, for whatever reason.

There is no secret sauce.

Well, why microsoft not tell us the secret sauce, this would make good press for them if stronger then ps4..... but if they not, this just mean there is none.

I think its BBQ sauce.

The have revealed a number of important  components to it.  The CPU is significantly larger, as is the number of co processors and the development of DirectX 11.2 over it's competitors, etc., etc.  Most of it is lost as it whooshes over people's heads.

But now it seems like a child arguing that his Dad's car is faster because it has a higher number on the old speedometer.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Tell me a funny joke!

I totally agree with this.  There is no screte sauce between either system.  What will define either system is how easy it will be for developers to gain peak performance from either system.  Having the higher number does not always tell the tell if you can only reacy 60% of that number.

What is good about the PS4 is that developers have a much easier opportunity to reach peak performance, at least thats what the general mentality is today.  MS on the other hand has a much more complex setup and thus their drivers and API must take the load from developers to reach peak performance.  A lot can be done on the software side of things to reach peak performance so it will be interesting to see how things change over the years and the difference between both systems.

From Developer comments, thee road is definitely steeper on the MS end then Sony.

I stopped when The omni gamer guys said the PS3 had a superior GPU compared to the 360 to argue their case.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

Whenever anyone talk about secret sauce and things that can't be proved but they use to say how much more powerfull it is you don't even need to read it all to now its probably bs and with weak argumentation.
