Just finished Super Metroid and playing Tomb Raider 2

I keep buying old PS1 games, I never owned as a kid and playing them, some are great. Play Devil Dice a lot.

In terms of FF7, if you didn't play it first time round, the graphics can affect you like that. Kinda like me and FF6, sure I've completed FF6 but the graphics put me off. Both are still better than FF13.

Of course, there are two kinds of classics: games I haven't played that everyone else touts as classics, and games I have played that I can't stop coming back to.

For instance, yes, I play old games like Zelda II that were before my time, and not-as-old games like Metroid Fusion that I never got my hands on back in the GBA days.

As for the other example, having grown up playing Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Link's Awakening, Sonic the Hedgehog 1/2/3, etc, I have a hard time thinking of these games as "classics" in the same sense as games I didn't touch until I knew they were seen that way. I go back to them when I feel the urge, be it out of nostalgia or recognition of the quality of the games. But they exist in the same part of my mind as the likes of Pikmin 1 and The Minish Cap -- and I don't think those games are usually grouped with Mario 64 or Ocarina. :P

If you cant play the original FF7 cause of the graphics then just play crisis core. Anyways I play a lot of the HD games and the original crash bandicoot.

Crisis core is great but not in the same league as FF7 :P
