Forums - Microsoft - Crytek offers ‘no comment’ on Ryse: Knights of England sequel rumours

VG247

Ryse: Knights of England has been name-dropped as a work-in-progress title to a potential follow-up to Ryse: Son of Rome. Crytek has been in touch with VG247 in regards to the matter.

The rumour originated over at GamingRumours, which cites unnamed sources close to the matter.

Apparently, Crytek is already planning ahead should Ryse: Son of Rome sales prove fruitful on Xbox One. Knights of England is the current tag-line being considered at the studio, and the game is said to be set in Medieval England and includes dragons.

We contacted Crytek about this rumour and a rep told us, “we don’t comment on these kind of rumors.”

Yeah, exactly. What are they thinking?

Same as everyone else, Medieval England yes, dragons no...

But didn't Crytek say they were going free-to-play only once their current commitments were done?

Within 5 years

But if Ryse is very successful I imagine they wouldn't want to mess with the formula so drastically, at least not until a few sequels have passed or sales stagnate or decline or something.

Make King Arthur a woman then

Are we sure they refer to the creature when they say dragon.... weren't they an elite faction of the British cavalry back then or something like that????

Sounds pretty cool. Also means there might not be anything to the negativity surrounding it if they are confident they'll get a sequel.
