You know they could have bought their wiis weeks before Brawl
^most of the ppl who bought Brawl at launch prob already had a Wii a year ago
Maybe the answer is simple.. people where tired of standing in line because the ones with a Wii were standing in line already to get SSBB.
I mean, the people who wanted to buy a Wii were discouraged to buy one after they saw the huge lines at the stores at SSBB launch.
If that's not it, maybe Wii Fit is taking too much self space to output more than 100k Wii's a week.
^do u mean in the Ninty factories or on the shelves? cause the factories that make wiis are completely seperate from the factories that make Wii fit
it is possible that Nintendo did not release their elevated stockpile all in one week, they may just do it slowly over the next month.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
maybe Ninty didn't stockpile for the Japan SSBB launch and are stockpiling for NA's SSBB launch and holiday season

You could be right, afterall Nintendo did underestimate SSBB launch by undershipping it.
We'll know next week, if Wii sales stay the same or rise, then probably meant Wii was undershipped last week, if it falls then probably most people who wanted SSBB already owned a Wii
