Your Metacritic comparison (that you brought up before) is entirely valid because it's incredibly hard to cherrypick all the year old Indiegames with the most accolades and port them to the system. I mean, no one could predict how they will be rated, right? It sure is a daring venture from Sony.

Geez, I wonder how Terraria or The Walking Dead will be rated. I have no idea, could go either way.

I didn't play them on PC (and I'm far from alone in that), if you did great. They're still games. Deal with it.

Don't forget that you're talking to a 3DS owner, not somebody who only has 1 system. I'm no company's bitch, I go where my requirements take me and currently Vita satisfies them better.

It's really impressive how 3DS gets the 85% of the market with a worse library.

Everybody knows 70% of that 85% is Mario.

PS Vita is worse and Sony knows it. It isn't even being marketed as a portable gaming device. Just as a PS4 accessory. There are only 3 games that genuinely interest me on the Vita. Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and Little Big Planet. Meanwhile 3DS has Luigi's Mansion, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Ocarina of Time 3D, Mario Kart 7, Animal Crossing:NL, Fire Emblem Awakening, etc.

Are you well versed in the full gaming library of the Vita? Or just basing it on what comes on a physical card? As most people don't actually seem to realise just how many games the Vita has.

It's impressive, then, how Mario is bigger than the entery Sony portable offer.

If you love nintendo games,then yes it is that much better. It just all depends on what you like.

well where is the main indie 3rd party software developer's making investment into which platforms right now...could that be Smartphone and tablets and could this be iOS, and Android? 

why yes, and is Every PSVita a debug unit? Grin...come on you know the Answer to this...Wide Grin..in one fell swoop, Sony just may capture the real power of the market right now...Low cost licence...how about zero cost for playstation Mobile, how about Pub funding those indies...you betcha...hey again who was giving those indies stage time just as much as they give to the big publisher's... 

and the icing on the cake, what Mobile OS does playstation Mobile already work on..all the hardware company has to do is get their device certified, then the end user download the akp. than enduser enjoeys Playstation Mobile games and aplications. when candy crush is making $620,000.00 a day no way was Sony going to ignore this. 

and every PSVita tv will have skype, so Microsoft will be more than happy to rake in cash...grin even Sony helps other companies make money.

Think of it as not trying to turn it into the OUYA its about Absorbtion of the mobile market developers under one game development platform..grin why turn it into something when you can just grab them and steer them to the playstation mobile platform. Thus the PSVita is disrupting the disrupter not by fighting it ,but by Absorbing the asset that drives the disrupter..the indie developers.

you grab the majority of mobile smartphone developer who make Applications for mobile smartphones and tablets, give them just as much on stage time as the much larger development studios and publisher's , help with development cost's with pub fund.

IMO the VITA is the better system by far. However, in terms of price and game releases the 3DS is winning hands down. 3DS plays DS games so upgrading is not a big deal. The system is affordable and people love Zelda, Mario and other big name Nintendo franchises. Sony has some big franchises as well but only Uncharted and Little Big Planet have arrived on the system. Killzone finally arrived on Tuesday but with no God of War and Gran Turismo Sony is missing two major franchises.

If Sony could get Grand Theft Auto, a legit COD, Battlefield in combination with Gran Turismo and God of War the system would start to fly off the shelves especially at 199
