You're rather reaching for negative Nintendo threads, Sh1nn

How are you still a moderator? Your pro-Nintendo bias is glaringly obvious, and you seem to lack the self-reflection necessary to improve on this. In fact, it's only gotten worse.

It is true that Sh1nn dislikes Nintendo and is trying to stir up Nintendo fans, but he's not doing anything wrong with posting articles like this, as it is a valid article. A moderator should know better than to react like this. If you can't shake off your pro-Nintendo bias you should quit being a moderator on this website.

I wasn't saying that in my capacity as a mod, and i thought that was decently clear, because i really wasn't threatening or advising on what should be done (as i did to a few others in this very thread, merely stating that i doubted the thread-worthiness of it, and speculating that it was being posted for the sheer negativity of it.

Nominally you're breaking the rules by bringing this up in this thread, however.

That very "speculating that is was posted for the sheer negativity" is not something a moderator should be doing. And it's not just this one case, it's a pattern with you. But hey, do with it whatever you want. My opinion is that a moderator should neutralize his bias in order to be taken seriously by the other posters.

As one of the financial analysts pointed out, Nintendo's stock became over-valued due to incorrect speculation that they would be listed on the Nikkei. Now that the speculative bubble has burst, the stock has fallen in line with the market's reaction. I don't really see what the huge deal is.

Power does mean nothing when buying a console. Imagine for a moment that the PS4 doesn't have any games you are interested in, would you still buy one?

Every Playstation home console has had tons of content, arguably the best overall library every generation (though this past gen with the 360 is debatable) since the PS1 days.

PS4 isn't going to be any different really, it's going to get the same support from every third party and it's going to have the Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, Digital Polypony, etc. stuff too obviously.

The fact that is has the best chipset of the three consoles this gen at a relatively reasonable price is just icing on the cake.

As for Nintendo's stock I'd be tempted to buy some, but I just have no faith in their leadership. Something is very, very rotten in their board of directors IMO to have made this many bad decisions in a 3 year span ... I just wouldn't be comfortable investing in them.

That wall of text didn't answered my question. If you are not interested in any PS4 game, would you still buy one?

Actually, the stock is vastly undervalued because at current prices the cap value is essentially only the same as the combined physical assets and cash reserves of the company.  Current share prices give $0 value to the Nintendo-owned brands like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc, to the back-catelog of classic games, or to the software development resources and staff the company posesses.  Nintendo should be priced higher for its brand value alone, which is why it is probably a good buy at this time. At minimum its total value should be in the $20's per share.  If they start making larger profits again, I would expect the shares to go to that level or beyond.  And this is assuming Wii U comes no where close to being a Wii-like hit.

That basically means you're not interested in any game from any third party, as the PS4 will have basically every major game from third parties for the next 5-6 years and probably the best console version of it at that, given that it has the best hardware.

I'm not defending Khan or anything, but isn't everyone bias?

The answer is very simple, it's a yes or a no. The original argument was that people buy a console for graphics, so I'll ask again. If you are not interested in any game at the moment for the PS4 (or the near future for that matter), would you buy one only because of it's pretty graphics?

If shit was tasty, would you eat it? See, I can ask stupid questions too!

On a fundamental human basis? Yes. But a moderator should be preventing console wars, not fighting them. Letting yourself be tempted to start an argument based on console preference is a sign of immaturity and such a person would be unfit for a moderator. I may seem harsh on Khan, but this is one of many times. There have been many more unfit moderators on this site in the past and there will undoubtly many more in the future. I just hope Khan can reflect on this and try to keep his bias -which everyone has- a little more to himself.

Yeah sure. Anyway, my original comment was to captain_tom, he's implying that people will buy a console for it's graphics, every person with logic knows this is wrong. Graphics are a selling point for games, not the hardware, this has been proven time and time again. Although captain_tom apparently doesn't get it.
