Thats the one I'm leaning toward.  Would it be worth waiting for a price drop?  It's listed at 929.99 (-11%).  The model came out 11 months ago.

Well. I actually looked at the laptops this time. :P

The MSI GP60 essentially has: More energy efficient CPU, also Quad Core, albeit clocked 200mhz lower. (You wouldn't notice the clockspeed deficit, as It should turbo higher on 2 threads.)

GPU's are essentially the same, the 740M would probably have lower clockspeeds, but that model does use GDDR5.

Whether that's worth the extra $20 is entirely up to you.

Interesting.  In your opinion is the difference worth the 20$?

I can wait another month possibly 2 before I purchase a new laptop.  Ill keep an eye on both and if they end up cutting the price significantly ill go with that one.  Do you know any sites that I should check besides newegg and tigerdirect?

Well. I would personally be spending more on a notebook if it was me. :P
If I was in your position, I would spend the extra $20 in the comfort of the extra 2 CPU cores, then overclock the GPU anyway on top it.

As for websites, you have Amazon too, I think.
I'm Australian, hence it's Ebay (For non-urgent stuff) or PC Case Gear, so I'm ignorant on overseas alternative stores.

Some good deals I think. Sager NP6652 looks tempting

The top one seems like a steal as it is on sale (300$ off), almost too good to be true.  One reviewer had problems with the wireless card and screen.
