This thread is talking about the franchises and games that will benefit the most from the power of next gen hardware. This isnt just about graphics, its about gameplay, level design, AI, animations, physics and more aspects. so state the games you think will benefit the most from the new hardware and state why, ill start.

A game that pushed the PS3 to its limits in many ways. uncharted didnt just use the PS3's power to do pretty graphics it also used it to help create the mind blowing set piece's the games are famous for. wether its to create a collapsing building mid gameplay, move an entire level, or even flip it over upside down uncharted pushed the PS3 to its limits. i believe uncharted 4 will harness the PS4's power even more to create even more mind blowing set peices. it will also benefit to help improve the animations, whether they are body or facial, that the series is well known for.

Huge wide open environments were a core aspect of Red Dead Redemption, capturing the essense and soul of the Wild West was one of the key factors to why Red Dead Redemption was such an amazing game. Next generation hardware will allow Rockstar to do much more stuff to reimagine the Wild West. it will allow them to make the map bigger as well as making it more realstic, and not just in a graphical sense. simulating the tree's and grass will give players more immersion, and the added power will allow to them to add more wild animals and improve their AI. in my opinion Red Dead Redemption will benefit greatly from the power of the xbox one and PS4.

i do not like battlefield, i dont think i ever will. but there is no denying that this game is a powerhouse, it just doesnt look good. it plays good. and that comes down to many things, first and foremost is the desctructable enviroments that the series is known for. next gen hardware will allow Dice to really improve that and gives them a lot of potential. actually the differences between current gen versions of the game and next gen are pretty big. so this franchise already proved it will benefit a lot from next gen

Any franchise that is pushing towards open world gameplay (or already has).

Open world will be the "theme" of next gen.

Final Fantasy, just look at 15 it looks amazing.

Halo, forge world should be amazing this time around.

I honestly think Final Fantasy will benefit the most from this generation of consoles.

1.) There was a ton of content cut out of FFXIII due to computational limits.

2.) FF Versus 13 or FF XV is going to have controllable vehicles including AIRSHIPS on a TRUE TO SCALE World Map (think FFVII-IX but fully rendered)...

SE was having trouble fitting such a system on the PS3 due to its huge nature and decided to transfer all production on to the PS4.
