Forums - Microsoft - Are Xbox One Pre-orders making a come back?

What's the average amount of sales compared to pre-orders? IE when have pre-orders made much of a impact, especially compared to future sales.

Not just game wise. But the Wii U had over 1.2 million pre-orders at Gamestop alone, and look at what happened with console sales for that system.

Thats not true. People pre-ordered 1.2m WiiU GAMES, not consoles at Gamestop.

No.

Total software preorder ratios PS4:ONE

Pre-order ratio end of June was 3.53:1

Pre-order ratio end of August is 1.54:1

so.

I think thats a yes actually.

?? As numbers grow ration will decline...The gap actually increased slightly.

It was always going to happen. The PS4 was riding a positive wave, the XO a negative wave. Those things even out. Once they launch, the weekly sales rate isn't going to be all that far apart (in North America).

Besides, the PS4 hardware is somewhat capped. That's going to affect growth.

Umm no, how is the hardware capped? Also NS is were xbox is strongest if PS4 is ahead there, imagine WW. The gap actually increased a bit, so no, nothing you say is true.

Yeah but that 1 has more pre-orders then all 3 x1 games.

true which is why i said its selling like crazy  guess that means the ps4 is the new shooter box lol

I will be honest I was hooked by the marketing of the kinect on xbox 360, silly me I thought it would be as accurate as they portrayed it to be in there marketing.

So, this time around kinect 2.0 for xbox one...if it isn't what they advertised it to be...it will be all over youtube and sales will plummet until they realease a sku without kinect.

However, if the kinect beats expectations and works how they advertise and is what they claim it to be an essential remote. Then they might increase sales and catch up during the holiday.

going by the logic, i think wii is making a comeback.

Umm, it's capped because you can no longer pre-order it on Amazon or Gamestop.com?  Which affects how much the pre-order total can grow?  How is that wrong?  I know it will be more worldwide, that's why I made sure I said North America.

As far as the gap widening, what are you talking about?

It won´t last longer...
If the VGC numbers are to be belived, the One peroders are accelerating at a greater rate than PS4.

After GTA V week, we will have a better view.
