I'll be buying a 1TB hard drive and slapping it in there. I've run out of space on my ps3, and i don't want that to happen again at least not for a long while.
| Homeroids said: 500GB is going to be very limiting due to mandatory full installs. Next gen games will take up a fair bit of space. I downloaded the digi version of Uncharted 3 and that took over 30gb. I have a 500gb in my PS3 and it's full. I have to remove games each month PS+ is updated. Just saying - 500gb will bite hard after about 10 games but by then they hopefully update the X1 to allow for external HDD game installs. It's more critical on that system due to mandatory full game installs. |
Beat me by a minute.
I have a 1TB HDD in my PS3 and I'm currently down to ~118gb of free space (Damn PS+). And that's after deleting all the demos and videos I didn't need. MS will have a big issue if they don't include that feature in the near future.

My PS3 has a 750 GB Seagate HD, I hope the PS4 allow me to trade the 500GB HD for a 2 Terabyte HD.
Consoles are literally becoming dinosaurs in this quickly-advancing technology age. It's amazing to see this happening as an onlooker.
Anyways, I hope Microsoft and Sony add support soon for the gamers who want to utilize their external HDDs and SSDs.

It's official, the Wii U with a 3TB external HD has 6 times more storage than the PS4 and XB1, who would have guessed
As long as Microsoft adds this feature within the first year or two, I'll be fine. It'll probably take me at least a couple years to fill up 500GB.

So, you only plan on playing 5 games a year?

5 games a year at $60 each is $300 a year. Maybe for you that's not a lot of money, but for me, working a couple low-end jobs and not making a whole lot of dough, that's plenty. Most years I only spend about $300-$350 on gaming (including Xbox Live Gold).
In 2014, though, it's going to be more like $800. 'Cause, ya know, hardware costs money too. I'm not really sure I'm going to be able to afford $300 worth of games when I'm spending so much on hardware.
So yes, bro, I do game. I game on a budget. It's just a smaller budget than yours.
