With Keiji Inafune sticking his glorious fist up Capcom's butt, it is my fervent belief that more developers (particularly Japanese ones) should shake off the shackles of their corporate overlords and strike out on their own before there is nothing left of this industry but bro shooters, moe uguu~ fests, and gashapon spinoffs of things we used to love. So, VGChartz... or gamrconnect... or whatever you're calling yourself these days... who do you think ought to be next?
My vote goes to Hironobu Sakaguchi. His post-Square games haven't been perfect, but they have consistently shown that he still has that magical ability to make games and worlds that have a certain indelible charm. It breaks my heart to see the man who is responsible for so many of my childhood memories reduced to making surfing and tower defense games for goddamn telephones, so he should go the KS route to save the JRPG... and himself.
