Xbox Live gold membership is free now? Since when?

Isn't it implied that we're talking about what we get with the services? I mean sure looking from the outside neither service technically gives you "free" games since you have to pay for said services...

Not excusing MS for their crappy offerings but he has a point, they're quite different.

I'm not arguing that both services are different, but he claims that Microsoft is giving out free games and Sony is giving out rentals. Yes you get to keep your games with Games with Gold but they're not free.

could this be the start of them actually advertising their free offerings or their deal offerings, After getting bully from last weeks rockstar sale which seems to have just been on for about 3 days I really worry some weeks where I don't get to sit down to turn on the system I'm missing out on huge deals because they are very odd with advertising on xbox.com

I'll more than likely pop up a thread mid month when the game actually rolls over just to remind people to go and get their license for their account when it's available.

It is free games as a bonus for people who already had XBL subs and now have all the benifits of such + these games. Even if they did give these games away to everyone with a 360 anyways it still wouldn't be technically free since you'd have to buy the console for it, or if they started to hand those out for free you'd have to pay for electricity to run them. Can't claim anything in the world to be free if you wanna get into it.

I don't see how you can sit and type out exactly what makes me right and yet still question it.

Off topic, I didn't even know this sale was on!! I used to own Bully and repurchased for $4.95 which i think is awesome value for that game. 

I actually own the disk versions on both the ps2 and the Wii but never could find a copy for the xbox360 so I got it during this sale too, the xbox version of it has all the content over the ps2 original + doesn't have the waggle fest that stopped me getting really far into the Wii version.

Also it was 3euros or so here.... I spend that on a tea each day without thinking about it. getting a game with 60+ positive reviews on metacritic for the price of a tea can't be passed up on.

Well, I'll be looking forward to Octobers games.

Was really shocked to see that 2nd game in September isn't going to be Halo3 considering it'll be that games 6th birthday, They could've had a special event for it on Xbl gotten John117 Cake and Dlc on special offer on the store :D
