Why do they keep doing this crap. You get COD DLC early, we get some hacking thing in Watchdogs...blah. Compete on the streth of first party software and let 3rd party games run content parity.

Also EA is on the list. *facepalm*

What's wrong with that?

Everything! You are cheating your customers of content. If the game is fully exclusive to one console then that is somewhat okay (Deep Down PS4, Dead Rising 3 XBO). As a third party entity why should you punish the fans who buy your games on day 1 by not offering the same content to all platforms. They pull this crap with retail preorder incentives too but that is slightly different topic.

Screw these companies. Wait for the goty edition because you know there is going to be one even if the game doesn't win goty. $20 and you get every thing thrown in.

I can understand your point, but do you even know what the content is?

I don't really get the point of 1 hr of exclusive DLC in a lot of these cases.  It's meaningless most of the time and I can't imagine it being worth the cost(not to me, but Sony).

Content is meaningless stuff/marketing lingo most of the time. GTA 4 and COD DLC timed exclusivity are the more buzz worthy ones. It doesn't really effect me that much personally but it is annoying practice and gamers have double standards with this. As people already pointed out in this thread when the other company does it is bad.  When my company does it. They are providing value to playstation fans. Pfff.

Bolded - pretty much.

what's up with deep down?

I've got to disagree with the idea that negotiating for exclusive content is a waste of resources. I think it's a pretty smart practice. It's no doubt way, way, way cheaper than purchasing a year's worth of timed exclusivity for a major title and yet it does make the PS4 version of a game more enticing. If I had to guess, I'd bet that a lot of this is in return for promotional consideration rather than upfront money.

More importantly, this is adding value for Playstation fans. How is that not a good thing? As gamers, what do we get from exclusivity? Some of us get nothing beyond what we would have gotten in the first place, while others have to wait for a year or don't get a particular game at all. That kind of sucks. By negotiating for additional content, Sony is basically giving us a reward.

Looking forward to seeing what the exclusive Destiny content will be.

I agree, but it is also a bit misleading to put it into this format.  It sounds like a whole lot, but it really isn't that big when you think that exclusive content can be something as simple as having the touch pad on the PS4 controller replace some minor game mechanic.

What do you mean?

It's in the list, is it esclusive or what? :)

We don't know with 100% certainty, but it sounds like it might be.

I thought that was already busted.

But it looks like we have to rethink our theories now :)

Stop it!

Get exclusive games.. maybe, but don't bother with hour long "exclusive experiences"

I agree, I think exclusive content is mostly pointless but some of the above could be exclusive games. I'm looking at square enix and praying for something for the Vita.

The only thing that interests me in that list is Atlus. New exclusive persona for PS3/Vita/PS4 anyone?

I'm so glad Atlus didn't get bought by Nintendo. I want my Persona games on PS platforms.

is the bidding over? :P
