Good point.  Maybe they should wait a year or two and then really push digital.  Retailers probably already feel pretty burned after having all their stock devalued by 50 bucks, especially considering they often don't make any money on consoles.

That's the future of gaming, maybe not this gen but maybe next gen we will see the full force of digital distribution. Game companies love it and little by little they will do everything to make it the only option.

Can Nintendo really afford to piss off retailers though? With two new consoles coming and Wii U no doing so hot, their shelf space is already at risk.
