Forums - Sony - Will PSP sales in Europe start declining now?

PSP has been outselling Vita all year in Europe, now that Vita has recieved an official price cut on hardware and memory cards will Vita start to slowly rise while PSP drops?

It happened in Japan, PSP was consistantly outselling Vita then a price cut and a few high profile games released, causing Vita and PSP sales to flip flop.

In Japan, Vita started getting a few higher-profile games while PSP got its last batch of "major titles". Both of these events occurred around the price cut.

In Europe, PSP hasn't had any new games for years, pretty much. It's selling on dirt-cheap UMD's and a wi-fi-less "budget" model (E1000). In turn, Vita is getting a price cut but doesn't really have any software to back it up (nor are older Vita games particularly cheap at the moment).

So no, I don't think so.

Tearaway and Killzone are coming pretty soon, those are pretty high profile. I think in the next 1-2 months we will see Vita baseline go up to 16k and PSP 8k.

In Europe you are able to buy a vita for 199€ for nearly a year now. (with 4GB memory card and a game)

Yes of course they will. In fact, they have already started declining.
