Members of the Xbox team will receive an exclusive white edition Xbox One, along with a year’s supply of Xbox LIVE and all first-party titles for free on launch day, it’s been revealed – and it may be released to the public at some point in the future.

Xbox team members are receiving a white Xbox One console. This product is not being offered to the public, though that could change in the future.

When asked if the white console will ever be officially released, Microsoft’s Major Nelson responded: “maybe waaaay in the future”.

This is the thing i hate about consoles. In five years there will be a slim model and after that super-slim. And I hope there will be no HDMI successors anytime soon, although Samsung , Sony and LG did announce the HDBaseT back in 2011. But that will probably be on 4k TV's .

I think the white is ugly anyway. No waiting needed.

They have already been working on a replacement.  HDMI 1.x is pretty much out of expansion abilty.  The early protoypes would use things like Cat-5 cables - which would be awesome!  They are inexpensive and you can get them in really long lengths.  But that one doesn't seem to be taking off.

Then Apple and Intel got involved and want it to be the display port.  But the Motion Picture liked HDMI for it's strong DRM.

They are also working on an HDMI 2 format supposed to be out in September of this year and do 4K at 60P and 1080P 3D at 120P (so each eye can see a full 1080P/60 image.)

But it will work with these consoles, I mean will it have the same plug?

lol. Give it a slight grey tint then it will look like an exact replica of a ********. Aint seen one of them since the year 2000.

Why is it when the main color of a console is black I find white more appealing and vice versa? O.o
