Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One Day One Edition sold out at GAME, store can’t guarantee launch day delivery of standard edition

VG247

GAME has apparently sold out of Xbox One Day One Edition stock. The firm noted on its website it has “reached [its] limit for Xbox One Day One Edition console preorders”, and is unable to guarantee launch day delivery of the standard edition either. While the standard model is still available to order, you will likely not get it on launch day. Last week, Amazon said pre-orders placed after August 15 could not be guaranteed for launch day delivery and it had sold out of Day One Editions. None of this is surprising, really, it happens every time a new console comes out. The early bird gets the worrm, etc. Via Videogamer.

Personally i am not a fan of people who do this, but considering that the Xbox has apparently supply issues, it's the most sensible one to do it on.

The only worry i have is that if lots of people do this, all it ends up doing is preventing the gamers from getting the device, which isnt very gamer friendly. It also causes massive issues in returns and then a stagnant Jan/Feb for consoles - as the wii-u found out. I was reading stories of people ordering 9 of them. I wish in these instances they werent able to return them.

You seem to be an Xbox fan, but you don't mind crapping on Xbox gamers... not very nice.

Sorry but thats just how i feel. :)

. I'm going to be able to payoff my xbox one and get games for free by this move. Sorry you feel so harsh about it. Simple I'm making a smart investment and it's not like it's food to feed a child. IF you wanted your xbox one, then you should have pre-ordered it. I will have no issue selling the 2, to a rich dad that thinks last minute.

I think that i will try to do the same thing.  Might as well get my unit paid for.

As far as thinking that this is bad?  I disagree, this is simply supply and demand.  If it is in short supply, the value changes accordingly.

Yes, it's just a smart investment.
