2) Wii U is also putting it out to an additional screen that the others don't have bogging them down.
3) Wii U doesn't have the mandatory install that would remove the pop-in issue and likely fix the load times too.
4) Wii U has a arguably best in class control option with the gamepad. (off-tv or 2nd screen option)

Finally, their summary clearly show they would actually prefer the Wii U version had it not been an obvious rush port and/or receives a patch to fix the FPS issue.

I think some of you haters are reading way too much into some details and cherry-picking/ignoring the other parts of the discussion.

I don't get what you're saying, here.  The Wii U gamepad is a part of the Wii U--it doesn't get a free pass if that's causing a problem.   The Wii U not having an install option likely has to do with the Wii U basic having very little internal storage--again, that's an aspect of the Wii U and does not deserve a free pass for it.

If it receives a patch or not has nothing to do with right now.   They cannot, and should not, assume that it will get a patch that fixes everything.  Not being optimized or ported by the original team or not also has no bearing on the actual performance of the game.  You can point it out, and if it's true, it's valid point to be annoyed about, but in a comparison, it simply does not matter.  How many PS3 games would be better if the developers could redesign the game around the cell processor?  It doesn't matter.

I don't even care about which version is the best, they're all likely just fine.  These articles are interesting to read but people get too wound up about minor differences.  However, some of your points are immaterial.  Digital Foundry should not be considering "what ifs" and hypotheticals when they're comparing the games in front of them.

Well said ....

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

What's up with you? It's called an OS (operating system). You need the OS to have the console function. Without it, it is just a block of plastic and metal.  Every system has an OS. To think there would be no space taken up by the OS is ignorant. What is stopping you from going and picking up an external hard drive? You can pick up a 1 TB HD for 50 bucks. That is more than enough space and at a much more cost effective solution than putting a larger SSD HD into the Wii U.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Thank you. I couldn't have said it better myself.

The visual quality doesn't tell us much about the GPU potential because even the PC version looks like crap.

Definitely not. It's not the best looking thing on the platform, but it's far from crap.

LIke a month or two ago now when they reported about how much ram was going to be used for games. People argued on here for liek 50+ pages about 512mb lol.

Certainly not the PS3 version then. That is a pretty poor port.

But he really believe that. That's why nobody cares about Ninjablade's opinion

i think only the 360 version looks better, the ps3 very version is far behind.

Does the loading issue happen when you download the game digitally? I'm not computer savy. Can that help?

every comparison Ive seen has the Wii U version looking best. Plus the gamepad options are great and is a huge plus over the other versions, not to mention miiverse. I actually own the Wii U version and it plays just fine. There are fps dips but it doesn't make the game unplayable in the slightest. Id rather those few dips then the screen tearing, sub hd, non remote play having other versions. Wii U is the king on the consoles

Games are fun.

I want to thank ninjablade for making this thread and pointing out the Wii U is the best version among the consoles, with better resolution, graphics, controller and performance, thanks to him UbiSoft has just secured my money.

Thanks pal.

Did you really get that out of this thread? I think you might need to check again. Eurogamer actually say that the PS360 versions are better. It's not just something Ninjablade made up.

Seems like the joke was too advanced for me. If we removed the joking tone, what would you really write?

I think we all know of OP's crusade against this console in particular. Sure, it might be true that this version of this game has some flaws, caused by the development of the project being started on the old-gen consoles, and also being outsourced. And then again, the flaws are not so bad as he makes them to be, they don't make this version of the game worse than the other two.

Sure, it dips a bit in the f.p.s., but it's not that much, not to an "unplayable" point. Sure, it has some worse (a bit) textures here and there, but by no means looks bad. And has some other textures looking better, something that DF never pointed out but can be seen even on their own screenshots. And it has no screen tearing, higher resolution and Gamepad enhancements. The only thing that is BAD are the loading times.

But the point being is that it seems this thread was made to show how bad is this console's hardware is in comparison to old-gen consoles, when all the flaws this game has are caused by different reasons (having the game ported from old consoles, having the development of this version outsourced, lacking the option to install the game from disc, and the Chinese developer probably never received the hi-res texture pack to add it to the game). But yeah, it's all of the console fault. Yeah, let's ignore the enhancements this version has over the others. Yeah, don't buy this version. Yeah, DF said so, they're my bible. Sheesh man.

nope the point of this thread  was to show a comparison between the three versions, and also to show that wiiu is on par with current gen, wiiu has been out for almost a year now, and not even one multiplatform game releasing at the sametime on 360/ps3, has had a clear advantage, infact most of been inferior.
