The believe that they would launch a GOTY edition is the only thing that stopped me from buying the game durign the last Steam sales, so I'm very happy that they have finally announced it.

I'll probably wait until it's close to 30 € to buy it... so maybe during Steam's next summer sales.

Just to be clear, I'd pay full price for the physical game if the DLC comes in the disc and there's only 1 code to activate it. With Borderlands 1 this was not the case and when I tried to activate the DLC a second time after replacing my HDD, the codes didn't worked, so it's either an all-in-one retail release or a Steam sale for me.

I believe the physical version uses Steamworks as it's DRM. (You have to enter the code on steam no matter what, but you can install fromd disc). So it doesn't really matter which version you buy, you probably get plain box with disc in it (I still like those though :P).

That said, I'm not a fan of borderlands.

The first time I installed the game and DLCs I went through 2K to activate them, not through Steam. Maybe that's the problem.

In fact, Steam didn't showed the game installed at all. Anyway, I bought it again during the last Xmas sales to avoid more problems (20 retail + 7.5 digital = 27.50 €, still a good value for the game).

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Not suprising but i want to play this on Vita, hopefully it comes with all the DLC

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

@OT - Anyways, glad I didnt buy Borderlands 2 right away when it was on sale few weeks ago.

I bought Borderlands 1 GOTY though and will be playing that next! Cant wait for BL2 GOTY *_*

but bl2 on sale +dlc on sale isn't more expensive as bl2 goty edition^^

in the end you pay probably almost the same.

i already have it on pc and the season 1 pass, i plan on buying whatever version for vita, hopefully its this one!

Certain franchises you know they're going to release a game of the year or conplete edition. Other than games from Rockstar, I avoid the games until the complete versions come out. So far I've only guessed wrong about one game going to get a goty edition and it hasn't.

Which game is that?

Dragon Age 2.  After such a long wait I eventually picked it up and it's pretty disappointing.  One town where you're constantly back tracking back and forth through that town and back to the same ridiculously small dungeons.  Horrible loading times every time the screen changes, etc.  The gameplay is good though, it's basically a faster paced version of the first game with smarter AI for allies.
