Forums - Sony - The PS4 Will Fail at converting Xbox fans..

I believe MS will suffer this generation because of their flip flopping and poorly executed decisions towards the Xbox One to the point where they will once again finish in last place by a pretty decent amount and pushed alot of the Xbox fans toward the other two consoles. They have alienated their fanbase and the base gamer in general and with lack of exclusives they will need to rely heavy on 3rd parties to keep them above water but then again who knows how the causal crowd will react.

@Nem

Thanks for the heads up.

1) Yeah I guess Gran Turismo and Uncharted don't matter anymore.

2) Most people have gotten over the hacks, not even the Xbox fans bring it up anymore.

3) Everything I've read about the PS4 controller has been positive.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

You forgot the community. I hate Microsoft with a passion, have never touched an xbox controller and have never played any exclusive game and yet right now I would rather buy an Xbox One(I won't, PC master race is already ahead of next gen) before associating myself with *that* crowd. I'm sure that I am not the only one feeling this way. Poster above me is a good example.

Actually, I think you would fit in with *that* crowd perfectly

lol

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

I hope we get a couple dark/demon souls this gen.  That would be sweet. And yeah for that type of gameplay I go with DS3/DS4 completely.

I'm sure "*that* crowd" breathes air, might eat bread and drink water - maybe even is genetically are 98+% identical to you, so what are you going to do about that? Or is simply buying the same console a far bigger factor to you than any of that?

@ OP)

Ofcourse the whole fanbase won't just switch to a different manufacturer (and whoever seriously claimed that would happen just had a serious case of wishful thinking), you just need to look at PS3 for an example of a console that had very little going for it and still maintaining a surprisingly big and passionate fanbase. Wii U might soon become an example aswell once the games Nintendo fans are waiting for arrive.

If you are a fan, you do not switch sides. That's the beauty of being a fan. Too stupid to see if something better comes along.
Works with sports the same way.
