I find it odd you included a prequel game, a handheld game and a concept game in the same list when comparing to a list of 5 fully fledged home console games, what alrighty P:

I think both will score around the 88 - 90 mark. I also bet we will see loads of arguments in which people will compare the graphics of a next gen to current gen game, but alas that is the way of the fanboy/girl/platypus.

He did it because it helps skew the numbers. The funny thing about GT vs. Forza is...GT destroys it in sales every single time. Why? Because racing fans know it's the better game. These people are as OCD as they come and if Forza>GT, Forza would be their game of choice.

It's not.

Well no. Opinion is subjective. COD is outselling the clearly superior BF4.......so what does that say?

It says that brand power trumps the realities of quality comparisons. GT has been out longer and without competition for a long time.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

If there is anything Forza shows is that GT6 will be lucky to land on 80. Anyone thinking GT6 will get above 80 is probably fooling themselves.

Forza 5 is showing an 82 on Metacritic right now. That's lower than GT5 and will probably be lower than GT6. But! and this is a very big but, I think you should always take review scores with a grain of salt. Especially review scores for Niche games like sim-ish racers.

Edit: 82 on Metacritic after 30 reviews.

Wait what? 10 million sales is a niche game now?
Gran turismo is not a niche game.

This is a niche game

Well, yes. GT is very popular amoungst a certain group of people, but is largely unknown to the general public. I would bet that if you asked people who didn't already know what the biggest PS exlusive was very few would say it was Gran Turismo. On top of that GT is really the lone leviathan in the genre.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Everyone and their mother know I support Sony and don't care about Microsoft, but please stop comparing Forza and Gran Turismo. Forza is on whole different level.

Really Gran turismo 5 was TRASH, and 6, judging by the demo is almost the same. The driving feeling is just OFF.

This is the main reason I hope Xbox one will fall this gen, to see the forza franchise on sony console.

yes forza is on a difernet level, a lower level.

I have both and in no way was forza that much better if any at all, GT5 destroyes it with constand support from PD.  Sales say plenty, 4 to 10.5 on consoles with same size user base.

Both have strengths and weaknesses, but GT is just the far bigger superior game with a vision behind it.

Driving feel will never be like real life but both give a legit account of it.
If anything Forzas driving feel is more off and im comparing that to my real experiencee.

I hope GT6 scores higher.

And i'm glad that reviewers are calling out F5 due to its lack of content.

Forza 3 was my fave racing game last gen, i'm a big Forza fan, but F5's content is laughable.

The reason COD outsells BF4 is because FPS fans know what they want and COD, apparently, is what they want. Racing fans love and buy GT because what they want in a racing game is simulation and GT is more sim than Forza. So in both cases, the better game is popular opinion.

No matter how pretty T10 made it its still half a game comapred to their previous one.

egm put it best.

"Forza Motorsport 5’s Career mode is a shell of its former self, giving little reason for players to keep coming back. Couple this with a dismal launch lineup of cars and tracks'

Yeah and no matter how much time PD had, GT5 still scored around 84 when reviewers were fairly generous back then.

GT6 will be better, but it will be lucky to get 80 meta.

@Normchacho
I hope I'm wrong but yeah, do that :P

Gran Turismo will score better...

Simple reasoning.

- GT6 is the third iteration of the racer this gen... Like Forza 4 they will have pumped every bit they can from the console and it will be the best that can be done on PS3.
- They learned a lot from their GT5 Prologue and GT5 reviews.

Forza 5 will be lower because:

- Less tracks, less cars
- First iteration of the generation so the full potential of the game has not yet been realized on this console
- AAA launch games tend to rate lower then AAA games near the end of a console cycle
